For our Innovation Design Center in Jena, Germany, we are seeking a
Business Development Manager (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities
Self-dependent execution of business development strategy, seamlessly integrated in corporate sales strategy
Reliably establish, grow and continuously optimize sales funnel
Enable and develop business relations with existing and new customers, realize business growth and new business wins
Responsibility for order entry according to targets set by local and corporate management
Understand and translate customer requirements; analyze RFQ with technical expertise and commercial focus, aiming at winning business
Support Business Units to provide competitive quotes to internal and external customers and enable profitable business for Jabil
Promote Jabil’s company profile (e.g. capabilities, footprint and services) to new and existing customers
Lead technical discussions and support commercial negotiations with customers
Overall responsibility for quote process, engaging with Operations and functional groups
Stay ahead on the latest developments, innovations, and trends
Lead market intelligence and monitor the competitive landscape
Regular customer visits and business trips supporting overall growth and profitability targets
Your Requirements
Master's degree in engineering, business or equivalent
5+ years’ business experience within the Electronics/ Optics/ Photonics industry
Strong entrepreneurial skills, self-starter and an ability to work with very little supervision
Strong communication skills, enjoying interaction with global customers and Jabil sites
Managing the interaction of industrial development, sales and business development
Strong intercultural skills (especially North America, Europe and Asia)
Excellent knowledge of German and English language (orally and in writing)
Willingness to travel world-wide (about 20-30%)
