The Role: The Commercial Finance Analyst – Aftersales & Marketing will provide support to the Commercial team, with a particular focus on Aftersales & Marketing. The jobholder will be involved with financial modelling and data analysis relating to all aspects of the development, implementation, and ongoing optimisation of our global sales and distribution strategy.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Collaborate with the Commercial Finance team on financial aspects of Commercial strategies, including:

  • Support in creating and updating Commercial business case models, analyzing data, and making recommendations.
  • Identify needs and implement solutions.

Aid in preparing monthly Aftersales & Marketing forecasts and reports:

  • Conduct actual vs. forecast analyses.
  • Generate monthly cost reports.
  • Prepare budgets, testing assumptions and identifying risks and savings.

Assist with warranty management tasks:

  • Contribute to warranty model input and review outputs.
  • Prepare journal entries for warranty accrual adjustments.
  • Communicate changes to accruals to stakeholders.

Support Aftersales subscription models:

  • Work with the Finance Manager on pricing strategies and profitability metrics.
  • Help develop subscription model business cases.

Assist the Finance Manager by:

  • Preparing and improving Spare Parts business cases.
  • Analyzing Regional Financial Strategy.
  • Conducting due diligence on potential commercial partners.
  • Monitoring regional profitability for spare parts.
  • Integrating Aftersales updates into business models and conducting ad-hoc analyses.
  • Support the Central Aftersales & Marketing Management Team and produce Commercial Budget Dashboards and KPI reports.
  • Assist FP&A and Business Partnering functions as needed.

For the Commercial Finance Analyst – Aftersales & Marketing, we are looking for:

  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or relevant degree desired but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years FP&A or similar experience, preferably in a Manufacturing sector.  Key skills include experience in building/maintaining complex financial models and clear presentation of financial data to non-financial individuals.
  • Commercial awareness, a positive attitude and “can-do” approach, comfortable to challenge at all levels.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly master complex requirements.
  • Ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term professional relationships at all levels.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to think on your feet and adjust to an ever-changing landscape and to think outside the box and suggest novel solutions to problems
