Summary
Within the engineering team "Naval Integrated Solutions" we are looking for an "Embedded Software Developer for Naval Optronics (f/m/d)" at the location Oberkochen.The interdisciplinary team develops integrated sensor solutions for optronic mast and periscope applications. In the team, system designs are created from customer requirements and, after comparison with the sensors and solutions already available at HENSOLDT, the development parts are defined and implemented. The development tasks include optics and mechanics as well as software and electronics hardware components. The integration and verification of the products at the customer are also ccompanied from the team.
Your Tasks
Conception, development and maintenance of product-specific software solutions for embedded systems.
Test, integration and verification of the developed software in the overall system
Development in C/C++ under Embedded Linux
Extension of the software architecture in the team
Support in debugging and acceptance of SW solutions
Application of common software development tools, such as Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira, Bamboo), CMake and Buildroot
Creation of automated software tests (unit tests, module tests, continuous integration process) and implementation of test concepts
Technical responsibility in projects for the software components to be developed
Creation of requirements documents and test specifications
Management of external development services and organisation of corresponding reviews
Willingness for occasional business travel is required.
Your Profile
Engineer in the field of computer science, electrical engineering/mechatronics or comparable education with focus on embedded software development
Good knowledge of object-oriented SW development with C++
Knowledge of version management desirable, e.g. Git.
Creative thinker who enjoys working on his own initiative
Good knowledge of German and English
