Position Overview: We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Improvement to lead our continuous improvement initiatives. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving efficiency, enhancing processes, and fostering a culture of excellence through innovation and best practices across the organization.

This leadership position requires a combination of strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and the ability to inspire others while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Head of Improvement will be critical in streamlining processes and ensuring that our teams are equipped to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Set the vision and strategy for improvement initiatives, aligning them with organizational objectives and goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of improvement specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements, waste reduction, and operational efficiencies throughout the organization.
  • Utilize data analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess current processes and areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with various departments to gather insights and make informed decisions regarding process improvements.
  • Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and brainstorming sessions to cultivate a culture of engagement and collaboration.

Change Management:

  • Create and implement change management strategies to support successful adoption of process improvements.
  • Monitor the impact of change initiatives and adjust the strategy as needed for sustained improvements.

Training and Development:

  • Design and deliver training programs focused on improvement methodologies, best practices, and tools.
  • Empower employees at all levels with skills and knowledge to effectively contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 8-10 years of experience in operational improvement, process optimization, or related roles, with a proven track record of leading successful improvement initiatives.
    • Experience in a managerial or leadership role, showcasing strong team development and mentoring skills.
  • Certifications:
    • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent accreditation in process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data analysis, performance measurement, and project management tools applicable to improvement initiatives.
    • Strong understanding of operational excellence principles and methodologies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to cultivate collaboration and inspire teams.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear insights for diverse audiences.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Willingness to travel as necessary for project engagements.

Working Conditions:

  • Some travel may be required to multiple client sites or project locations.
  • The role may involve working with cross-functional teams across various time zones.
