Industrial Performance Analyst

Objective/Purpose of the Job:

To ensure that accurate and credible information are compiled, stored and distributed in a timely manner. To carry out analytical examination of data with the view to suggest ways to improve on the efficiencies of the operation based on the data provided.

Comply with the requirements of the Musson Integrated Management System

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ways to compile data using graphs, pareto charts excel files etc. but not limited to those mentioned.
  • Analyse equipment trends, historical data; and make use of these data’s to make inform decisions.
  • Define, propose and monitor the Maintenance and Improvement (M&I) plans and objectives in accordance with the Engineering Policy, Key Principles and the M & I Activity as outlined in the Musson Engineering Excellence (MEE) master document.
  • Tract key performance data and do trending graphs to highlight any improvements or otherwise.
  • Lead in providing information regarding fuel, energy, water and steam usages and all other factory related consumables.
  • Assist with the M&R (Maintenance and Repair) budgeting proposal annually using historical data.
  • Assist the M&R team with a zero intolerance attitude for unsafe situations. Encourage team members to pre-assess impact of all changes as instructed or under his/her own initiative, in relation to product safety/quality, people safety and the environment. Refer to MIDL Management of Change procedure.
  • Ensure that the integrity and availability of data as required.
  • Make suggestion to repairs/modifications resulting from data assessment to improve efficiencies.
  • Participates in line and motion study for filling lines and processing procedures.
  • Support all departments in obtaining information as required that are critical to the business.
  • Encourage close teamwork between all functions (Engineering, Production, Quality Management etc.).
  • Review systematically all lines, processes and utilities that are critical to the business and those where failure can have an unacceptable impact on safety, environment or compliance with the law.
  • Provide and update files with current information for WWTP, all factory KPI and MRQ files etc.
  • Participates in Food Safety, S. H. E. Programmes, as specified by the Company.
  • Any other task relating to the job and as instructed by your supervisor.

Requirements

Academic/Technical/Management: Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Two (2) year experience working, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Abilities; Skills; Experience; Aptitude and Judgement:
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and database management.
  • Good multi-tasking skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and communicate effectively – in writing and orally
  • Ability to work well with all customers of the Engineering Department

Other Personal or General Characteristics:

Detail oriented.
