The role? 
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Instrument Technician here at EnerMech. The Instrument Technician main responsibility will be to inspect, maintain, repair and calibrate workshop instruments such as gauges, chart recorders etc., control valve actuators (Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic & Hydraulic)

 

Requirements

Main Responsibilities:

The position primarily works in the valve repair shop and is responsible for:

  • Making repairs to customer property including control valve actuators.
  • Inspecting, maintain, repair and testing of workshop instruments.
  • Calibration & Test of Pressure & Vacuum Gauges, Chart Recorders, Temperature Indicators, Manometers etc.
  • Create and maintain of master register of calibrated equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings as necessary.
  • Executing general workshop maintenance as required.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment.
  • Apply EnerMech Group and where appropriate Client’s Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure that all Quality and operational procedures as identified in EnerMech QA Manuals are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain and embrace ownership of departmental policies and procedures.

Essential Skills:

  • Troubleshooting ability, repairs of equipment (Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic & Hydraulic) and ability to calibrates gauges, chart recorders etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Fully qualified Instrumentation & Electrical Technician
  • Previous oil and gas / offshore, site and operations experience.

Qualifications:

Essential:

High School Diploma in Instrumentation and/or Electronics.

Preferred:

Industry recognized certificate/qualification for the position.
