Neonatologist

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Neonatologist to join our dynamic team. In this crucial position, the Neonatologist will provide specialized medical care to newborns, particularly those who are premature or critically ill. This role involves working in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to diagnose, manage, and treat various conditions affecting neonates, ensuring optimal outcomes for the most vulnerable patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of newborns, including physical examinations and diagnostic tests
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions affecting neonates, including respiratory distress, infections, and congenital anomalies
• Provide life-saving interventions and support to critically ill neonates
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pediatricians, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists, to provide coordinated and compassionate care
• Educate parents and caregivers about their newborn’s condition, treatment options, and ongoing care requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research to advance neonatal care practices
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in neonatology through continuous professional development
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation

Requirements

• Medical degree from a recognized institution
• Board certification in Neonatology
• Valid and active medical license
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Neonatologist
• Strong clinical skills in managing complex neonatal cases
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on parental education and support
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Proficient in advanced neonatal resuscitation and life support techniques
• Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic is a plus
