POSITION: ORTHODONTIST

JOB DETAILS:  Examine, diagnose and treat dental malocclusions and oral cavity anomalies. Design and fabricate appliances to realign teeth and jaws to produce and maintain normal function and to improve appearance. Using various diagnostic tests to determine the condition of patients’ teeth. Studying patient records, including dental histories, plaster models of teeth and X-rays to develop treatment plans for patients. Discussing treatment plans and cost estimates with patients. Treating occlusion issues and other oral conditions. Fitting patients for various orthodontic appliances. Make adjustments to orthodontic appliances including tightening braces and tracking patient progress. Educating patients about on-going orthodontic care and explaining proper oral hygiene methods for good oral health.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  DDS OR DMD DEGREE FROM

AN ACCREDITED DENTAL SCHOOL BY COMMISSION ON DENTAL

ACCREDITATION.  WILL ACCEPT FOREIGN EQUIVALENT OF DDS/DMD.

Special Requirements: Must be licensed and registered with State of Oklahoma Dental Board.  Certificate of completion of a residency from an accredited post-graduate Orthodontic Residency Program.
