Job Summary

The Program Manager represents Safran Passenger Innovations (SPI) as the focal point for all activities related to a specific program. This individual is responsible for managing the communication, implementation, monitoring and execution of the specific program, to meet the needs and contractual requirements of various stakeholders to enable Safran’s Satcom Terminal to operate in these satellite networks. The individual is responsible for delivering the program objectives, managing program performance, risks, opportunities, and change control according to internal rules and processes. This position will work with team members across the entire organization, as well as closely with the Product Line organization to track and report progress, coordinate actions, and align with regards to program’s objectives. This role is also interfacing with external stakeholders and ensuring their activities are aligned with the program objectives. This position requires leadership, pro-activeness, understanding of the technologies under development, ability to multi-task, to interact with suppliers and customers, and to find creative solutions in real-time to problems and barriers. This is a networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure to delivery deadlines. Position is subject to travel.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Represent SPI as the focal point for the specific program and ensure the relationships with partners are healthy
  • Responsible for the execution of the program in order to meet objectives, deliveries and requirements as defined by the program
  • Ensure coordination for the management of internal resources allocated to the specific programs, and for the fulfillment of internal processes
  • Holds Program Status meetings with stakeholders and ensures attendance of SPI stakeholders at partners defined meetings as required by the program
  • Ensures the organization is prepared for partners meetings and aligned with the program strategy
  • Responsible for identifying, tracking and reporting risks and opportunities
  • Responsible for tracking, reporting schedule and resource demands as defined by the program
  • Responsible for coordinating the delivery of all parts, documents and software in order to meet the program requirements
  • Support partners contract review and management as needed
  • Monitor issues, deviations or departures from contractual commitments and solve or notify the appropriate stakeholders
  • Monitor program schedules and commitments and notify appropriate personnel of risk impacts or changes
  • Participates to suppliers’ reviews for ensuring alignment on program objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in telecommunications engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional role
  • 3-6 years of working in a similar role
  • Prior aerospace experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Outlook)
  • Good working knowledge of standard project management tools (incidence ticket systems, risk management, project monitoring)
  • Good working knowledge on resource planning
  • Technical In-Flight Entertainment & Connectivity knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience managing contracts is advantageous
  • Experience with international business is advantageous
