Summary
For the "Active & Passive Antennas" department we are looking for an "RF Development Engineer for AESA Subsystems (f/m/d)" at the Ulm site as soon as possible.The department "Active & Passive Antennas" is responsible for the development of active and passive antennas for air-, sea- and land-based radars, electronic warfare systems and data links. Current and future development work includes AESAs for the Eurofighter and Next Generation Fighter in the FCAS program, for frigates, mobile ground-based surveillance radars and for airborne electronic warfare as well as antenna systems for passive radars.
Your Tasks
Design, development and characterization of complex antenna subsystems (AESAs) in the microwave range
Contribute to the requirements definition together with System Engineering
Technical management of the development team
Design and specification of sub-assemblies
Preparation of necessary documentation such as concept, specifications, design document, test procedures and test reports
Supervision of sub-assembly manufacturing and integration of the AESA
Commissioning and testing of the AESA and subassemblies as well as characterization of the RF parameters
Collaboration in the verification of all requirements and preparation of verification reports
Collaboration in the qualification of the developed AESA including documentation
Your Profile
Completed studies in electrical engineering in the field of high frequency technology, communications engineering or comparable
Experience in development and verification of radar or RF systems
Experience in handling modern RF measurement technology including antenna measurement
Requirement for authorization in handling classified information (VS)
Good knowledge of common EDP packages (MS Word, MS Excel)
Previous knowledge in design of AESAs advantageous
Knowledge in design & simulation of RF components
Programming skills in Matlab, Python or comparable
DOORS knowledge
Ability to present concepts in a concise manner
Teamwork and communication skills for collaboration in interdisciplinary and international project teams
Innovative and creative way of working and thinking as well as working independently and responsibly
Fluent German and good English skills
