The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to manage and direct purchasing of goods and services Quantexa needs globally, as well as oversee the Procurement Strategy.

You will manage a small effective team and work with stakeholders across our 3 regions: EMEA, APAC and North America; you’ll need to be hands-on with a breadth and depth of Procurement experience.

You’ll be in your element working in a fast-paced, customer and people first culture, where you can make a real impact on the lives of our colleagues and the future of Quantexa.

What you’ll be doing

  • Review and amend the Procurement strategy to best fit with the company’s goals
  • Identify potential supplier sources, conduct interviews with potential vendors & negotiate favourable supplier agreements
  • Establish category management processes and leverage the resulting benefits including assessing how best to use our purchasing power
  • Manage supplier and vendor contracts for complex purchases or where risk is elevated
  • Monitor what we purchase, deliver and spend to ensure that the approved purchases fall within budget guidelines, are cost-efficient and of high-quality
  • Re-engineer processes and improve automation as needed to best support the procurement of goods and services in a timely and safe manner
  • Design and deliver product-specific training where needed to ensure adherence to the company’s procurement policies and standards
  • Create a suite of reports that enables the efficient and effective running of our business

Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • Educated ideally to a degree level, or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • CIPS accreditation or similar an advantage
  • Financial and numerical skills
  • High-level of attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Exceptional talent in negotiating and networking
  • Solid knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster strong supplier relationships
  • Ability to be flexible and comfortable in a fast-moving results-orientated environment
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work on own initiative and offer new ideas
  • Strong team-working skills and a desire to be part of and contribute to the success of a fast-growing organisation
  • Personal commitment to improving one’s own knowledge and sharing best practice with colleagues
