Solutions Engineer

Solutions Engineers are the primary technical resource for new sales. They are responsible for post-sales, partner, and professional services implementations. Solutions Engineers are responsible for actively driving sales and managing the technology implementation of our software. They provide a broad range of expertise to analyze, propose change, and determine its effectiveness from the perspective of the customer. At each phase, they must be able to identify and remove technical barriers to implementing company software. Solutions Engineers must be able to articulate the technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. In all cases, they must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the implementation cycle and promote customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical demos, support, analysis, and troubleshooting of customer issues, overcoming technical barriers and providing professional technical recommendations
- Collaborate inter-departmentally with other Sales and Product teams to diagnose, assess, and resolve customer issues and requests.
- Regularly collect customer requirements to identify pain points and establish product expectations
- Give technical product guidance and recommendations to customers and partners while developing the role as a trusted technical advisor.
- Install and ensure excellent customer experience with Proof Of Concepts (POC) overcoming technical barriers encountered along the way.
- Provide prompt, concise, and friendly communications, ensuring high-quality service and support to align with customer goals and requests.
- Make professional recommendations and provide guidance to produce high-quality documentation.
- Deliver top-quality customer service through open communication, problem-solving, and championing the customer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Technical Sales in the Tech industry, preferably supporting SaaS products
- 2+ years of related Microsoft IT desktop support experience
- 2+ years Network/LAN/System administration experience
- Experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
- One or more Industry certifications: MCSE, MCTS, MCSA, MCP, Novell CNE, VMWare VCA, Apple ACDP, CompTIA Network+, Cisco, and/or Security+
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in SQL, JSON, JavaScript, AI, and LLM
- Deep understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
- Working knowledge of VDI (Citrix, VMware, ESXi, Hyper-V, IGEL & Google Cloud Platform).
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and Idp (Okta, Entra, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Document Management, Electronic Content Management (ECM), and Digital signature software.
- Working knowledge of application deployment using GPO, SCCM, or others.
- Microsoft Office Suite, html basics, basic scripting, website administration, and IIS experience is preferred.
- Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs experience a plus.
- Proven experience interfacing with professional-level management.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment on large-scale deals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to develop client relationships.
- Strongly detail-oriented, ensuring important details do not slip through the cracks or derail a project.
- Adept at multitasking to achieve individual, team, and organizational goals.
- Strong desire to succeed by owning the entire sales lifecycle, from demo to trial to close, as well as driving post-sales activities from product purchase to SOW deliverance.
- Experienced at public speaking, delivering presentations, and product installation.
- Ability to listen to and understand customer needs and adapt, identify, and articulate solutions
