Data Services and the underlying Storage Solutions are a key investment area for HPE. Over the past years we have invested significantly into R&D and acquiring new technologies to enable a software-driven, cloud-operated portfolio, delivering Data Services that can be deployed not only in the Data Center but span from Edge-to-Cloud as a hybrid solution – enabling our customers to consume all of HPE’s offering via the HPE GreenLake Cloud Platform.

And this journey has only started with a lot more innovation to come.

To bring these benefits to even more customers, we are expanding our Storage salesforce across Germany.

We are looking for dynamic Storage Presales Consultants who can challenge a customer’s current technical approach, translate requirements into solutions and work hand-in-hand with the sales to open and eventually win new accounts.

As Storage Presales Consultant you:

  • Engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, assess their current infrastructure, and then position HPE Data Services and Storage solutions in alignment with the customer’s hybrid cloud and digitization strategy.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demos addressing specific customer pain points, requirements and expectations - linking the technical features of our solutions with tangible benefits.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and channel partners– acting as a trusted advisor guiding them on products and solutions to best meet their needs, highlighting technical alternatives and possible shortcomings.
  • Collaborate with account teams both at HPE and Channel Partner to pursue an opportunity, respond to tenders, develop strategies to counter competitive threats, and design and size solutions.

If you have these Skills, Expertise, Attitude and Education…

  • Technical Bachelor’s degree (Master's or advanced degree in technology preferred)
  • +5 years of experience in IT with a focus on technical consulting
  • Sales-oriented technology professional who can combine deep technical skills with strong business acumen to motivate customers to follow you on a transformational journey
  • Significant expertise in Storage and Data Services including storage arrays, data protection, and file storage
  • Knowledge of adjacent technologies like virtualization, networking, public cloud and industry certifications from e.g. HPE, VMware, Veeam, Azure, AWS etc., are a plus
  • Profound consultative selling techniques such as active listening, framing, white boarding, storytelling
  • Taking pride in being knowledgeable on leading-edge and emerging technologies in the industry and enjoy meeting new customers and partners to talk tech
  • Excellence in communicating and presenting – both in German (fluent) and English (good proficiency)
