Structural Welder/Fabricator

The Structural Welder must be able to cut raw materials and then be able to weld them according to print. Knowledge of reading a tape measure and operating a saw is a must.
- Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
- Sourcing the materials to be used in the project
- Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
- Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
- Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
Requirements
· 1 year of experience welding structural steel.
· Must be proficient in MIG and Flux Core 3G and 4G welding methods. (3G- Uphill and 4G-Overhead)
· Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws safely.
· Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions.
· Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
· Requires good judgment, and ability to work with others and perform other tasks as assigned.
· Ability to review designs blueprints.
· Strong attention to detail in measurements and design specifics.
· Experience operating a forklift preferred.
