Summary

For the "Airborne and Space Radar Qualification & Verification" department, we are looking for a "System Engineer Radar (f/m/d)" at the Ulm site as soon as possible.

The "Airborne and Space Radar Qualification & Verification" department develops and tests innovative radar systems, which complete their first flight tests as prototypes. Our aim is to provide functional verification and innovative radar technology for new products.

We are working on novel technologies, e.g. radar sensor technology for unmanned aviation and air cabs. We also support the product development areas of HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH with specific radar expertise.

Your Tasks

  • Carrying out radar tests and analyses for new radar systems, especially for unmanned aerial vehicles (Detect and Avoid Radar)

  • Development of test concepts and creation of test procedures

  • Development of prototypes in cooperation with the specialist departments. Working in multidisciplinary teams in the research and development of radar technologies

  • Implementation of subsystem and system integration including necessary analyses

  • Qualification tests with the prototypes during various flight campaigns

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, physics or comparable

  • Professional experience in radar engineering 

  • Basic knowledge of radar system design, signal processing and algorithms

  • Knowledge of radar and radar signal processing 

  • Knowledge of Matlab and C, C++

  • Enthusiasm for technology and research

  • Ability to work in a team, assertiveness and a confident manner

  • Very good German and English skills
