Working Student for Embedded Device Lab Infrastructure (f/m/x)
Your role
Helping to shape next-generation products at ZEISS
Supporting our team in various projects to move towards the best practices of embedded computing in e. g. the medical, microscopy & semiconductor industries
Working for at least 6 months on our lab setup for embedded devices, and possibly help some projects using it with other things as well
One goal could be to make working with & testing different embedded devices (mostly Linux-based, but also microcontrollers) easy for our various projects
Possibility to learn and implement things from many different fields of embedded computing on the latest hardware & software platforms
Your Profile
You are enrolled in a master's degree in computer science, physics, engineering or similar
You are willing to learn and explore with a high degree of initiative and creativity
You are interested in new technology and motivated to work on challenging tasks
You have some coding experience (including Git) and experience with Linux systems and embedded systems (e. g. Raspberry Pi, Microcontrollers, etc.)
You have knowledge in at least one of the following topics: Linux, C/C++, Python, Test Automation, CI/CD Pipelines
You see good communication within a team as the basis for finding a solution that works well for everyone affected
Possibility for continued employment for up to 2 years, master thesis or full time internship is also possible.
